Today the /amo network, a leading global organization of strategic communications advisors of which Abernathy MacGregor is a founding member, released its global “Values Most Valued” survey. The new annual study compares how corporate values have evolved over the last year by examining 525 listed companies in 22 markets.
By looking at annual reports published last year and this year, the resulting survey captured a total of almost 2,300 individual corporate values with an average of 4.3 values per company.
After a tumultuous year, companies care most about “people and communities”:
- Values related to people & communities top the ranking, up 11% from last year and ahead of “ethics and integrity” which led the field last year
- Integrity remains the single most important value, cited by 27.8% of companies
- The value of sustainability dropped almost 5% from last year
